BOOKING TERMS

Booking terms and conditions

What happens when you book a class or mentoring with me, including cancellations and refunds. Last updated 27 October 2026.

Who these terms are with

These terms apply when you book a class, workshop or mentoring service with Eleanor Wasserberg, a novelist and writing tutor based in Stroud, Gloucestershire. By booking and paying, you agree to them. If you have any questions before you book, just email eleanor.wasserberg@gmail.com.

Booking and paying for a class

Your place on a class or workshop is confirmed once you've paid in full. You'll get a receipt by email straight away. Classes are kept small, so places are given on a first come, first served basis.

If you need to cancel a class

If you cancel 7 days or more before the first session, you'll get a full refund. If you cancel less than 7 days before, I can't offer a refund, but you're welcome to pass your place to someone else, or move it to a future class if there's space.

For six week courses, refunds aren't available once the course has started, and missed sessions can't be refunded or carried over.

If I need to cancel or change a class

If I ever have to cancel a class, for example through illness, I'll let you know as soon as I can and either rearrange the session or give you a full refund for the sessions you miss. If a course doesn't get enough bookings to run, you'll get a full refund.

Mentoring and one to one services

Novel Diagnostic: paid when you book your session. If you need to move it, please let me know at least 48 hours before and we'll find a new time.

Novel Development Mentoring: paid monthly, with a minimum of three months. After that, you can stop at any time by letting me know before your next payment.

Manuscript Assessment and Manuscript to Submission: I'll confirm the price, based on the length of your manuscript, before we start. Payment is due before I begin reading.

Your writing

Your writing always stays yours. I'll only use it to give you feedback, and I'll never share it without your permission. In group classes, everyone is asked to respect each other's work and keep it within the group.

What I can and can't promise

I'll always give you honest, thoughtful feedback and share everything I know about writing and publishing. What I can't do is promise that your novel will find an agent or a publisher, because nobody honestly can.

Your personal information

I only use your details to manage your booking and keep in touch about your writing. You can read more in my privacy policy.
